CCCS Neighborhood Action Team
The Redwood City/North Fair Oaks Community Collaboration for Children’s Success (CCCS) Neighborhood Action Team (NAT) is a community team that builds on local strengths and strategizes to address and prioritize local issues. With members from various County and City departments, local school districts and colleges, and community-based organizations, the collaborative inspires action, encourages alignment amongst local organizations, and prioritizes continuous community involvement. With over 40 organizations represented, the collaborative meets once a month to advance our mission.
We are a proud Accountable Community for Health through the California Accountable Communities for Health Initiative!
The Neighborhood Action Team (NAT) meets on the third Monday of every other month from 12-2pm. Lunch is always provided, and community members are always welcomed! If you’re interested in joining us at our next Neighborhood Action Team meeting, click the button below!
The Community Collaborative for Children’s Success Neighborhood Action Team is guided by the Neighborhood Action Plan that was completed with community input by Get Healthy San Mateo County.
After conducting community focus groups and gathering survey data, the graphic outlines the priorities of community members in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks.
The Neighborhood Action Team identified three CCCS outcomes as the working group’s top priorities:
Increase household income and/or reduce costs
Increase access to resources
Increase supportive relationships between youth/children and caring adults
At our bi-monthly meetings the Neighborhood Action Team receives updates on efforts in the community to achieve these goals and strategizes action we can take as a collaborative.
During the Summer of 2024, the governing body of the Neighborhood Action Team (the Core Team), led an effort to re-administer the original survey that informed the Neighborhood Action Plan. After doing extensive data collection with our hardest to reach community members, we found that many of our community member’s priorities remained the same.
-
The partner organizations that make up the Neighborhood Action Team champion the needs of our community. Each year, the CCCS Core Team goes on a two-day retreat to identify goals and create an action plan to go after priorities identified by the community. Below you can find the goals we are currently focusing on.
-
To make progress on increasing household income, we are focusing on increasing opportunities for youth employment. Our goal is to increase the number of organizations within the CCCS that employ youth by doing the following:
Survey NAT members on their current practices and opportunities for paid youth positions
Create a toolkit to support youth and employers for success
Run a rapid testing cycle on identifying and sharing youth job opportunities
-
Our goal is to develop and deliver six gatherings throughout the community that focus on listening to, healing, supporting, and protecting our vulnerable community members in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks.

Our History
Purposeful Action, Creation, and Engagement (P.A.C.E Program)
We are a collective impact organization dedicated to fostering innovative, community-led solutions. That's why we're so proud to have incubated the PACE Program, a vital initiative launched alongside the Pal Center and partners from our Community Collaborative for Children's Success Working Group. With strategic guidance and fundraising support from Redwood City Together, we helped establish PACE to build and sustain long-term impacts, ensuring our youth have access to critical opportunities in jobs, education, leadership, and mentorship.
The PACE Program will now be housed within the Pal Center. We look forward to seeing the continued success of PACE as it enters this next chapter.
